Camping in the Corrèze

Camping in france is a unique experience, and the Limousin is no exception. With it's diverse countryside, bustling market towns and sleepy villages there really is something for everyone. Campsites in France are generally of a very high standard. Sites can range from "camping a la ferme"' to municipal sites offering year round camping with basic facilities, to sites with leisure facilities and bars, to highly organized sites where everything including the tent is provided. The one common factor is that your pitches are always generous and clearly defined (so no sharing tent pegs!). The French love their camping and as a result there is a vast array of sites to chose from throughout the region.
For those traveling in a camper van there are even more possibilities. The "L'Airs" on major routes allow free night stops to help break up a journey, whilst many villages have camper van stops for 1 or 2 vans with water and "vidange" facilities for chemical toilets. There is also a network of sites offering free 1 or 2 nights camping in return for a very reasonable annual membership fee.
